Salary Transparency Project

Since November 1st 2022, NYC law mandates that salary bands are included in most job descriptions. This makes New York City one of a handful of locations that provides this information even before the interview stage. In an attempt to make this data even more accessible to people out looking for a new job or negotiating a raise, I created a Flask app to display salary distributions based on job postings in the past 30-45 days. This tool utilized my LinkedIn Salary Tools Repo (feel free to fork!) to retrieve job descriptions from LinkedIn jobs, extract salary band information, build distributions, adjust for cost of living, etc.

It's not a perfect solution but I hope this information will provide some benefit for someone out there.
